Job Summary
Supervises, coordinates, and participates in the activities of the receiving team members, engaged in the receipt, shipping, inspection, storage and kitting of raw materials. Also responsible for material handling responsibilities in the warehouse by designing and developing product movement and storage systems, improving operations, and supporting manufacturing. Responsibilities include continuous improvement on processes, service and safety for the warehouse. We are seeking career-oriented individuals who desire to become part of a world-class team. This is a full-time position in an aggressive, fast-paced distribution warehouse environment.
Essential Functions
Main duties
- Supervise all activities of the warehouse team members, keeping safety as a constant priority
- Responsible for all incoming material inspection, with keen eye for defects
- Reports all inconsistencies or defects to Materials Manager in a timely manner
- Communication with department leads for collection of defective materials from shop floor
- Supports and helps manage an accurate Cycle Count process on a regular schedule. Participates in full physical inventory process on a yearly basis.
- Develops warehouse operation systems by determining product handling and storage requirements
- This role requires regular presence on the shop floor
- Collection and reporting of excess materials on the production floor
- Develops team to solve day to day operational issues and reach short and long-term goals

Required Skills/Abilities
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organization skills
- Experience with incoming material handling and inspection
- Attention to detail
- Small piece part production
- Computer proficiency, including Excel
- Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, results oriented environment
- Ability to stand/walk for 10 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solutions oriented approach to challenges/issues
- Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision
- Results oriented, taking ownership of goals and objectives.
- Must be a self-starter
- Mandatory overtime on an as needed basis
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with ERP /MRP systems is desired
- Previous experience should center on daily production requirements
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/warehouse location
